We’ve been proud to call Louisiana home & have always understood our responsibility to be a good member of our community. Over the next several months, we plan to keep Culture on Tap by spotlighting & sharing some of our favorite Louisiana artists & local businesses that have the same passion for their work as we do. We hope this helps bring awareness & support to their business when they need it most.
The next artist we want to feature is Molly McGuire aka Magwire. Originally from Ontario, Molly (Magwire Circus Banners) is a multi-talented visual artist currently based in New Orleans. She found herself drawn here after spending almost 20 years on the road with a rock band. Her paintings center around the theme of “Circus Banners of the Mind.” In 2014 Molly created the complete line of circus banners for the television show “American Horror Story Freak Show.” Her work has also been shown around the country & internationally. She is currently the 2020 French Quarter Fest artist, as seen below. Be sure to check out her work for the festival in October!
