Pass through the wrought iron gates into our visitor center. Take a guided or self-guided tour of the brewery to learn about our brewing process and sample our lineup of beers or join fellow craft beer lovers in our Tap Room for a fresh pint at the bar. As the original craft brewery in Louisiana, we’re proud to share our culture on tap. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Guided Tours

Learn about our brewing process, beer, and history on a guided tour of the recently expanded brewery. Our new tour format provides a more intimate and informative experience for our guests! Tours last about 30 minutes and include one pint of beer, or you can upgrade to a flight of six different 5-ounce pours for only $8. Tours are $10, family-friendly (under 21 is free) and handicap accessible. Closed-toe shoes are required to tour the brew house. If you know the date of your visit, reservations can be made online. We also hold spots for walk-ins on every tour. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour time.

Monday – Thursday: 1pm & 3pm
Friday: 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, & 3pm
Saturday & Sunday: 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, & 3pm.
Closed Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day

Self Guided Tours

Self-guided tours are free and include access to our mezzanine level that overlooks our brew house tanks. You will be able to view videos about our beer and brewing process from a touchscreen device. Self-guided tours do not include beer samples, but you can purchase a pint in our Tap Room after exploring the brewery. Self-guided tours are available when we do not offer guided tours.

Of course! You can buy beer packaged, on draft, or in a growler to-go.

If you need to change the date or time of your tour reservation, please email us at abitavisitorcenter@abita.com or call 985-893-3143. We do not offer refunds for tours. We are happy to accommodate your party on another date or time that works with your schedule.

As much as we love our furry friends, pets are not allowed on the brewery tour. But they can hang out on our patio & beer garden!

Absolutely! We will consider special request tours for groups of 25 or more. To set up a special request tour, contact abitavisitorcenter@abita.com and specify the desired date and time of the tour.

Yes, the Tap Room and tour is open to all ages. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. You must be 21 years of age or older to consume our beer. Root beer is available for visitors under the age of 21.

Our tours are $10 and include four 4 oz. samples of our beer. Reservations can be made in advance. We also leave spots open on all of our guided tours for walk-ins.

We accept credit and debit cards only. No cash or personal checks can be used to pay for tours, beer, or retail items.

Our current tap room & Gift Shop hours are Monday – Sunday 11am – 9pm.

Yes! We have a growler filler with 15-20 of your favorite Abita brews available to fill. We sell Abita growlers onsite, but we’ll be happy to fill your 64 oz. growler. Please be sure to clean your growler prior to arriving!

We have light snacks (chips/pretzels) for sale. On select Saturdays, food trucks visit the brewery. Please check the upcoming schedule. Visitors are also welcome to BYOF (bring your own food) and enjoy at our bar, courtyard, or beer garden.
