We like to say that Abita Brewing Company is Louisiana Culture on Tap. After all, life is always better with good food, good people, good music, and a good beverage in your hand.

Covington Location

Located just over the lake from New Orleans, the Abita Brewery is the ultimate Louisiana craft beer experience. Take Hwy 36. Turn onto Barbee Rd. The Visitor Center is located on the left. Parking is available in a lot to the right next to our beer garden.

Located at the corner of 1st and Tchoupitoulas, Abita New Orleans is a new way to experience Louisiana’s original craft brewery. Enjoy fresh brews crafted on-site in our tasting room, or gather with the community for events that celebrate the city’s rich culture.

Of course! You can buy beer packaged, on draft, or in a growler to-go.

If you need to change the date or time of your tour reservation, please email us at abitavisitorcenter@abita.com or call 985-893-3143. We do not offer refunds for tours. We are happy to accommodate your party on another date or time that works with your schedule.

As much as we love our furry friends, pets are not allowed on the brewery tour. But they can hang out on our patio & beer garden!

Absolutely! We will consider special request tours for groups of 25 or more. To set up a special request tour, contact abitavisitorcenter@abita.com and specify the desired date and time of the tour.

Yes, the Tap Room and tour is open to all ages. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. You must be 21 years of age or older to consume our beer. Root beer is available for visitors under the age of 21.

Our tours are $10 and include four 4 oz. samples of our beer. Reservations can be made in advance. We also leave spots open on all of our guided tours for walk-ins.

We accept credit and debit cards only. No cash or personal checks can be used to pay for tours, beer, or retail items.

Our current tap room & Gift Shop hours are Monday – Sunday 11am – 9pm.

Yes! We have a growler filler with 15-20 of your favorite Abita brews available to fill. We sell Abita growlers onsite, but we’ll be happy to fill your 64 oz. growler. Please be sure to clean your growler prior to arriving!

We have light snacks (chips/pretzels) for sale at the Covington location. We will have food trucks on a rotation for both locations. Please check the upcoming schedule under the Events tab. Visitors are also welcome to BYOF (bring your own food) for both locations.
