Article by Barin von Foregger, Grillax.com When creating unique dishes in Grillax Nation, it’s all about a really good marinade … and we think you’ll love our dark beer marinade. With seafood, you want to go light. With beef, you want to go heavy. With chicken … the sky’s the limit! [Abita Turbodog] Abita Turbodog is perfect for a dark beer marinade. You will generally see the usual suspects when putting together your own marinade — salt, pepper, vinegar, etc. If you are looking to add a unique twist to your next marinade, pour in your favorite ale. But save some for the glass, too. We suggest you give Abita Turbodog a try. It’s a dark brown ale brewed with pale, caramel, and chocolate malts and Willamette hops. There also will be the opportunity to have your beer AND your bourbon cocktail in one glass because two of the beers in Bourbon Street Series collection will be poured this year: Old Fashioned Pale Ale and Rye Pale Ale. Since the event also profiles bourbon, the bourbon-barrel aged beers are a nice tip of the hat to the overall theme of BB&B. To get into the spirit of pairing the beers with boudin,...
